As President and CEO, Brooks advances Newman’s growth, market and service expansion, and sustainable success by promoting Newman's evolution and innovation. Brooks leads the business operations of Newman Architects including financial management, accounting, and Information Technology. He is responsible for planning and executing the strategic business initiatives of the firm.

As Principal, Brooks leads Newman's Development market. His professional expertise is focused on large-scale commercial development projects and real estate planning services. An excellent communicator, Brooks believes effective communication optimizes project development and the architectural design process. His commitment to innovation through technology and deep experience with complex projects involving multiple layers of constituency participation have made him a key contributor to the consensus-building process of Newman’s most significant projects.

Brooks is the Managing Principal for the new Heritage Park development in West Hartford, CT, the Bronx Transit Oriented Development in NY, the new residential complex at UConn campus, among others. His ability to develop relationships and build consensus has established Newman as a respected partner among the clients and communities we serve.

Brooks holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Roger Williams University and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. Brooks is a licensed architect in the state of Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
