Gilbane Development and MURAL Real Estate Partners enlisted a fully New Haven-based design team of Newman, Pickard Chilton and Atelier Cho Thompson to design a significant new mixed-use, transit-oriented development for the Connecticut Department of Transportation. The team will bring new housing, density, and vibrancy to New Haven’s Union Station, continuing Newman’s long-time involvement in reviving the station and envisioning the neighborhood.

Together, the design team is working to bring a new mixed-use, transit-oriented development to fruition for the Union Station Partnership, CTDOT, and the City of New Haven. Two sixteen-story towers will house 470 new apartments with 25% affordable units, 28,000 square feet of commercial and retail space, and 300 parking spaces.
